I was born in Salt Lake City (Cottonwood Hospital if we want to be specific) and spent most of my childhood in the Salt Lake Valley. We moved to several different areas in Sandy when I was growing up. At first that was hard for me because I was a little shy by nature, but as I got older the moves helped me to become more outgoing and less fearful of what people thought...maybe not the best thing for the people I work with now ;)
I attended both Alta and Brighton High Schools because of all the moves. Fortunately my dad's influence kept me involved in sports throughout my life and they always helped me to find my place in new surroundings. I gruaduated from Alta High School in 1989.
I attended the University of Utah for a sememster before I was called to serve in what was then the East Germany, Dresden Mission. It was facinating to see and be a part of all the changes that happened after the fall of the Berlin Wall! I helped open the Berlin Mission after the reunification of Germany and I consider Berlin as 'my mission' when I tell people about it.
After my mission I went to BYU for just over a year. I loved going to BYU, but I felt that I needed to do something else with my life other than go to school. I got a job with Delta Air Lines as a flight attendant and I loved everything about that job for the four years I worked there. I learned so much about myself and about the world through my travels and through living in New York City (where I was based for the majority of my time). It was an incredible and life-changing experience that I will always be grateful for.
Alas, all fun things must come to an end (or so I thought), and the time finally came for me to grow up, go back to school, and get a 'real job.' I started back at BYU when I my career in the mortgage business began. It's been a challenge to balance working full-time and going to school, but its been a great experience. I'm currently taking my final class before earning a degree in psychology.
I have been with Castle Rock from the first day we opened out doors. I feel fortuante to have weathered the ups and downs of the business (and life for that matter) over the years so I can be where I am right now.
I work with such good, honest, and hard working people that truly care about their clients more than their paycheck. We have an incredible atmosphere in the office and the best processors and office staff around! I can honestly say that I love what I do...that I look forward to coming to work each day...that there isn't a place I'd rather be than where I am right now.
